DevOps engineer based in Belgrade, Serbia.

Started my career installing Windows XP on computers around the neighborhood. Got paid, bought video games. Early 2000s, golden age of gaming, no regrets.

Went to electrotechnical school, got into both hardware and software. Hello World in C, calculator apps, like most of us.

College introduced me to the web (basics like HTML/CSS/JS), then SQL and PHP. Tried CodeIgniter, landed on Laravel, stayed there for years.

Second year of college I discovered Linux, servers, networking. Got hooked on that too.

First jobs were Laravel shops with some server work on Heroku and Linode. After ~5 years of PHP I started drifting toward the infrastructure side. More CI/CD pipelines, more Linux boxes, less <?php. Liked it way more.

These days my main work is DevOps, but when I do write code it’s mostly Ruby.
